1st BIOFIN Global Workshop brings together 19 countries

From 25 - 27 February 2014, over 100 participants from the 19 countries participating in BIOFIN discussed progress and lessons learned during a 3-day workshop in Bratislava. Key issues on the agenda included an in-depth review on the BIOFIN methodology, and stocktacking of progress of both the BIOFIN and NBSAP processes. The main areas indicated for further refinement of the BIOFIN methodology included the expenditure review and the costing of NBSAPs. For the latter, the BIOFIN team will recruit an expert who will provide participating countries with technical support for the development of national level costing models.
