The BIOFIN Workbook is the main tool developed and implemented by the Biodiversity Finance Initiative (BIOFIN). It can be used to assess biodiversity impacts of different sectoral policies and institutes, measure biodiversity related expenditures, generate detailed cost calculations for national biodiversity action plans and develop resource mobilisation strategies to reach national biodiversity goals.
A new, user-friendly version was launched at the COP 12 in Pyeongchang, Korea in October 2014. It is now available on the BIOFIN website in 3 languages: English, Spanish and French. The tool is currently being applied in 19 countries participating in BIOFIN.
